So It Was The COOK After All
The season finale of Idol 7 – i guess sa lahat na ng mga events na meron this May, ito na yung pinaka inaabangan ng America, pati na rin siguro ilan sa ating mga pilipino. and biro nyo, nagkatotoo nga yung mga rumors of a “David vs. David” finale during the mid part of the series. di nga malayo mangyari yun since pareho naman silang magagaling (duh, lahat naman sila magaling kaya nga sila nandun eh).
The Tuesday showdown (Wednesday dito sa Philippines) was a bit boring to me. the songs they chose didn’t really excite me at all. like the top 3 night, the two Davids sang three songs: the first song was chosen by Clive Davis, the record producer; the second were by their fans; and lastly, the songs were chosen by the contestants themselves. and Cowell declaring it a ‘knockout’ by Archuleta eh? i somehow disagree with that kasi i didn’t liked the idea of Archie singing “Imagine” AGAIN. sana pumili sya ng mas babagay for the night. so i guess it’s just a 2:1 fight, in favor of Archie still. and hey, the judges’ comments to Archie were way better than Cook’s (considering the fact that Simon called Cook’s first song – “I Still Haven’t Found What I’m Looking For” PHENOMENAL). i also even though Archuleta will be the season 7’s idol. but heck, no! it was DAVID COOK who won the title “American Idol” with 56% of the 90+ million votes!
Congratulations to you David Cook for making us – your fans, very proud and extremely happy. i wish you all the best of luck. same to you too, David Archuleta. gosh, i envy you two for winning that Ford car hehe.
